Monthly Contest with Cash Prizes: $200 for Two Best Images.

1st Due Date: March 31, 2009

We will have a monthly contest where two projects will be selected for $100 cash award or special prizes. This contest will continue until notice of termination. Due date is the last day of each month. The first due date is March 31, 2009.

ETR manufactures two types of products: the Standard Plasma Neon Sign (the "Standard PNS") and the Custom Plasma Neon Sign (the "Custom PNS"). Standard PNS are mass produced using company standards. Custom PNS are produced using dealer standards. Independent Graphic Designers will be in charge of creating Standard PNS images which will be sold worldwide as well in the US.

We will evaluate your project on the following criteria:

1. Marketability: This measures the ability of your design to be bought and sold in an active marketplace. In other words, simply create a design people will want to buy or sell to others. You may want to do research on products in the traditional neon sign or lighting market.

2. Design: Excellent designs are the center PNS products. Competent designers are able to convey thoughts and feelings to their customers. PNS products are unique in that light does not radiate from a light bulb or a distinct light source, but from the material itself. The intensity of light is distributed over the entire surface of the material, on both sides. Please keep this aspect in mind as you develop your ideas.

Technically, any and all colors are feasible. But in order to accommodate mass production, up to twelve colors are recommended. It is to be noted that, unlike the existing signs which are based on the printed colors, PNS illuminates colors and, therefore, the displayed colors are not same as shown on the existing color charts. Please refer to our design guidelines.

3. Productivity: Designers are in charge of creating Standard PNS images that are mass produced. All PNS products are carefully manufactured by skilled workers. Please keep in mind that even if your design is superior manufacturing costs could increase if it is too complex to for production. So as a general rule, it is important to come up with marketable images that are also easy to manufacture.

Again, remember that the due date is March 31, 2009 for the first contest.

3.      Submit your design with a topic, “Contest”

Your design should be submitted by 23:59:59 on the last day of each month. We will select two best images and notify the winners by email within ten days. Winners will be awarded $100 in cash or prizes equivalent to the cash amount. Cash prizes will be sent via Paypal only. Please remember that ETR AMERICA owns all rights to the selected images.

Remember that you can sell your image with us at anytime even if it is not selected as a winner.
